Religulous

I watched Bill Maher's documentary "Religulous" last night. It was fantastic. Definitely one of those movies that makes you think and question. According to Maher, the title of the film is a portmanteau derived from the words "religion" and "ridiculous".

On my constant quest for new to me music I came across the artist known as Lissie. Um, Wow. I’ve been missing out and if you haven’t heard of her yet, then so have you. But fear not, this is why I’m here. Now we both know about her. When you listen to her tracks there is one thing you will pick up on. Unplug

Have you ever tried to kick your caffeine habit? Have you ever tried to leave your cell phone and computer at home when you go on vacation? I am attempting to do both. Recently, under a doctor’s recommendation, I have been advised to kick my caffeine addiction. I never really drank a ton of coffee I just really enjoy my one or two cups in the morning during the week day and my three or four cups on the weekends. The first week was the roughest. Honestly, I wanted to rip out of my own skin and start scaling the walls. I didn’t realize how addicted I was until I was forced to stop. I’ve never been a smoker but I imagine it’s kind of the same feeling. I’m on to caffeine free tea now. It’s a substitute I will have to live with for awhile. Oh coffee, I love you and I miss you…sigh. I’m not breaking up with you…we’re just on a break. Wait for me. I’m taking a holiday soon and on this holiday I have decided to unplug completely. Hallelujah Indeed

I have been so out of touch lately. I apologize. I miss my blogging. As you know, one of my favorite things to do is think. Think, think, think. So, while I have been so busy, I have been stockpiling blog posts. I have so many movie reviews to share with you and new artist to pimp out. I’m excited. In the midst of the chaos which sometimes is known as ‘my life’, I take refuge in movies and music. Music helps me think and movies help me forget.
