The Cheese That Changed My Life

Image
Have you ever had Boursin cheese? This cheese is so amazing that the first time I had it my boobs got bigger..well not really…at least in my mind they did. That’s how amazing this cheese is. It makes you believe that the impossible is possible. Ever since I first tried this cheese I have made it my mission in life to share it with the world. I bring it to dinner parties, wedding & baby showers, birthday parties and I force feed people into trying it while I stand next to them saying “isn’t it amazing? Isn’t it the best cheese you’ve ever had? It’s changing your life right now isn’t it? Quick, check your boobs, are they getting bigger?” It’s a soft cheese, you’ll need a cheese knife. I prefer the herb & garlic flavor spread on a cracked peppercorn cracker...delicious...my mouth is salivating right now. And today must be a really good day because I just received an email that will change my mashed potato experience FOREVER. Boursin Mashed Potatoes – Ahhhhh, I hear angels rejoicin...

Pepperoni Please, But Hold The Pepperoni

Image
Is it weird that I love pepperoni pizza but I take off all the pepperonis and don’t eat them? I have been doing this for as long as I can remember. There is something about processed meat that revolts me but I love the flavor their grease leaves behind. Um…that sounds pretty gross when I say it out loud. It’s kind of like food cheating. You know, when you take a square and cut it into quarters promising that you will only eat one of those quarters. Oh but what’s another quarter? They’re just little bite sized pieces, and when you cut the square into quarters like that you’re cutting the calories…right? When I take off the pepperonis I am still left with the flavor minus the actual meat. Does that still count? I do all kinds of strange things like this…no, let’s call them quirky things…not strange. It’s what makes me, well, me. Throughout future blogs you will pick up on other quirks of mine. Believe me; I have a lot of them.

You Won Me Over Red Wine

Image
I have decided that I like Red Wine now. I would never drink it before. Even the smell of it would bring on a headache. Then I got older and all of the sudden I started enjoying foods & beverages that I never liked before. The first red wine that I really enjoyed (as in I finished it and wanted a second glass) was a brand called "Cakebread". It's a Californian wine that runs about $80 a bottle. Of course I liked it. I have an uncanny ability to be drawn towards things that are too expensive for my pocketbook. Over the past few months I have been slowly dipping my taste buds in the wine barrels to see which flavor I most enjoy. It has been a fun experiment to say the least. I will be sure to update the blog with a recommendations. I feel like a grown up now.
